“How I long for a poor Church for the poor”— Francis (Jorge Mario Bergoglio)
Francis is going to have to explain his financial vision for the Church. He is not making any sense, which is nothing new.
The reader should not be misled by those who claim that we are not supposed to “misinterpret” what Francis is saying– because it could be above our level of understanding… something very mystical.
This is totally false.
Francis, the former Cardinal Bergoglio, has perfected his simplistic “the people’s Cardinal” image for years and years. As such, when he speaks we must believe that he is speaking to the simple poor people that he claims to care about. To turn him into some mystical erudite whose messages could be loaded with other meanings beyond our grasp, is absolutely ludicrous and disingenuous.
What Francis needs to say is that the money– which everyone from the very poor to the very rich have given to the Church for more than 2000 years, for good and holy works— should not be in the hands of Bishops and Cardinals who are involved in, or cover up pederasty, homosexuality and financial corruption.♕
Here is today’s audience with the media (in Italian). Advance the meter to the 20:30 mark and listen to the following statement, which ends at the 20:35 mark:
«Come vorrei una chiesa povera e per i poveri!» (“How I long for a poor Church for the poor”)
TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION: Francis, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Pope, Church money in the hands of corrupt Bishops and Cardinals.
