By Marielena Montesino de Stuart

I am delighted to greet my readers from the distant and beautiful island of La Réunion.

La Réunion, previously Île Bourbon, is a French island with a population of about 800,000 located in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar, about 200 kilometres (120 miles) southwest of Mauritius, the nearest island.

Administratively, La Réunion is one of the overseas departments of France. Like the other overseas departments, La Réunion is also one of the 27 regions of France (being an overseas region) and an integral part of the Republic with the same status as those situated on the European mainland.

La Réunion is an outermost region of the European Union and, as an overseas department of France, is part of the Eurozone.

One of the greatest satisfactions I experience by publishing my articles and commentaries, is to see readership grow in distant lands, where people hunger for the truth.  Please join the international campaign Someone has to say the truth… and share it with everyone you know, because truth is contagious!

I am inspired by the thousands of readers who have found a home in this website.  My prayers and best wishes are extended to all of you and your  loved ones.– Marielena
