A commentary on today’s disturbing preliminary report in preparation for the Synod on the Family

It must be observed, however, that if faith were endangered, a subject ought to rebuke his prelate even publicly.”

St. Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologica

First, some much-needed housekeeping

There are certain lay elements in the Catholic Church who have been delighted to support anything that has come out of the modernist Vatican II train wreck during the last fifty years. These stalwart supporters of modernist Catholicism have been out and about as little soldiers, ready to pounce on, vilify, ostracize and send to the guillotine those who, against all odds, have courageously opposed the modernist corruption in the hierarchy of the Church. Ah yes… I know this element quite well.

But now some of these pinnacles of erudition are seeing the light, as Francis’s pontificate continues to unfold. After decades of parading with and supporting certain corrupt and agenda-driven Bishops and Cardinals, these so-called Catholics are coming to grips with the gravity of the situation that we are facing with the modernist Vatican, such as today’s press conference regarding the preliminary report of the Synod on the Family.

What gives?

Have they run out of opportunitie$ to pu$h their lay Catholic project$?

Have the cruise liner$ been turning them down for their “Catholic” lecture crui$e$?

Has Francis turned them away?  Let’s face it. Francis may be the most progressive Bishop of Rome that the Church has ever had– but he knows plasticity when he sees it.

My readers know by now that every time I mention this opportunistic lay element in the Catholic Church, the $ key gets stuck on my keyboard.

But I’m not one to mince words, so I say: good, it’s about time you opened your eyes– but now it’s time that you go home and keep quiet. We’ve had enough watching you riding the coattails of Bishops and Cardinals. We don’t have to put up with your drama now— simply because you feel ready to express your disingenuous shock about corruption in the modernist Catholic hierarchy.

Any complaints? Hey, if the shoe fits, wear it!

In other words, it’s time that Roman Catholics stop making fools of themselves by rewarding “Catholic” opportunists– lest you allow them to continue to reinvent themselves and keep siphoning money from your wallet. These individuals are experts, and their hubris knows no bounds, so be on the look out!

Now that we have cleaned the dust that impairs a clear view of our window on Rome, let’s talk about the disturbing preliminary report issued today, in preparation for the Synod on the Family

There is no way to get around it. Roman Catholic Church teaching, in every possible form, strictly denounces homosexuality. Period. It is not negotiable. No amount of rhetoric and sentimentality is going to change this fact.

Likewise, the Roman Catholic Church does not promote violence against or persecution of homosexual persons. Simply stated, the Church considers homosexuality an abomination in God’s eyes– and asks those involved in such behavior to stop and repent. As such, homosexual activity, a chosen sexual activity, is not a “gift” to the members of the Church. But the modernist Vatican appears to have a different opinion.

Many are shocked (not me) upon reading the following “brilliant” statements that the Vatican delivered to the press today [bold added for emphasis]:

Welcoming homosexual persons

     50.        Homosexuals have gifts and qualities to offer to the Christian community: are we capable of welcoming these people, guaranteeing to them a fraternal space in our communities? Often they wish to encounter a Church that offers them a welcoming home. Are our communities capable of providing that, accepting and valuing their sexual orientation, without compromising Catholic doctrine on the family and matrimony?

     51.        The question of homosexuality leads to a serious reflection on how to elaborate realistic paths of affective growth and human and evangelical maturity integrating the sexual dimension: it appears therefore as an important educative challenge. The Church furthermore affirms that unions between people of the same sex cannot be considered on the same footing as matrimony between man and woman. Nor is it acceptable that pressure be brought to bear on pastors or that international bodies make financial aid dependent on the introduction of regulations inspired by gender ideology.

     52.        Without denying the moral problems connected to homosexual unions it has to be noted that there are cases in which mutual aid to the point of sacrifice constitutes a precious support in the life of the partners.

And what extraordinary and progressive minds helped write these statements?

Well, two that stand out are none other than Cardinal Donald Wuerl, from Washington DC– and the, let us say… eccentric (to put it mildly) President of the Pontifical Council for Culture, Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, whose bizarre activities I have covered before. Cardinal Wuerl and Cardinal Ravasi are often welcomed in academic and social circles, where young people are present.  I wonder how Catholic parents feel after reading the above preliminary report excerpts, on welcoming homosexuals. The entire text of the preliminary report is provided at the end of this commentary.

You don't want to miss my articles on Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi HERE and HERE.

Please, Lord, help us. Please.

How can homosexual behavior, be it sodomy or lesbianism, be translated into “gifts and qualities to offer the Christian community?”  Dear reader, stop and think:  SODOMY!!!

How can we be expected, as Christians, to “accept and value” sodomy and lesbianism, as sexual orientations?  Christians cannot defend their faith, if they are taught to use rhetoric that is morally misleading and confusing.

What exactly is the “educative challenge” that we are to find in the acts of sodomy and lesbianism?

Such propositions are sacrilegious and entirely against everything that the Church has stood for during 2,000 years!

What about the thousands of Christian missionaries who suffered martyrdom for two millennia, in order to promote the teachings of the Church– and to help stop behavior that deviates from God’s sacred laws?

Have these Bishops and Cardinals forgotten that Christ did not make excuses for Magdalene’s lifestyle. St. Mary Magdalene changed her ways, for the ways of God, and stayed with Jesus during his suffering, at the moment of his death– and beyond.

By now you may be asking yourself if these prelates have lost their minds.

The answer is no. It appears that they know exactly what they are doing– and their wording shows purpose and passion for their mission.

While these Bishops and Cardinals ruminate on homosexuality, Christians are beheaded for defending their faith

As I write this commentary, innocent Christians continue to be tortured and beheaded in the Middle East, for upholding their faith– and these Bishops and Cardinals have the nerve to present those who practice sodomy and lesbianism as individuals who offer “gifts and qualities” to the Christian community?

This is madness.

How can these prelates face the relatives of the Christians who have been massacred in the Middle East– or anywhere else– for refusing to give up their faith and their Christian principles?

Think about it.

If you do not feel indignation over this situation, then you have no moral compass.

I’m busy. I need to spend my precious time expanding my commentaries on the persecution of Christians in the Middle East, in China, in Cuba, as well as the demonstrations in Hong Kong. About Ukraine, Russia, Ebola, ISIS.  As such, it is very disruptive and upsetting, that as a Roman Catholic,  I have to write about these totally absurd and offensive “intellectual” and “philosophical” exercises coming out of the Vatican.

But I feel an obligation to repeat, time and again, that there is great moral danger in this farcical homosexual “gifts and qualities” proposition, to young Catholic children and to society at large.

This is the same twisted language used years ago by Cardinal Roger Mahony in Los Angeles— before law enforcement caught up with him and his cover-up of pederast priests was exposed, which cost untold millions of dollars to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. But worst of all, when all was said and done, Mahony’s reign of terror led to many young lives being destroyed as a result of clergy sexual abuse.

And how has Francis reacted to the Cardinal Mahony scandal?  Well, earlier this year Mahony was rewarded by celebrating Mass with Francis in Rome. And of course, Mahony has been very active in social media, which he uses to issue his proclamations. Given Mahony’s online presence, one can only assume that the Vatican still thinks that his opinion is important.

Now, you can sit there and act like you are upset about today’s statements from the Vatican. But if you really are upset, you will find a way to express your indignation to Church authorities, by respectfully and firmly asking that they leave Catholic teaching alone.

The Church does not have to “catch up” with modern times, just because materialistic atheists want to alter the course of civilization, by imposing their perverse ideas on sexuality, marriage and family.

The Church is Christ. Christ is God. God never changes.

Someone has to say the truth… (please share it).
